Where Is Your Admin Costing You Momentum?
A calm, five-minute check-in for women who run businesses and quietly hold everything together.
Start here
You’re probably managing. That’s exactly why this is worth doing.
Most of the women I work with are capable, organised and very good at keeping all the plates spinning. You answer the emails, remember the birthdays, chase the invoices, follow up the enquiry, and still turn up for your clients with a smile.
But when you’re holding that much, something always slips a little further down the list. It’s rarely the big things. It’s the follow-up you meant to send, the idea you haven’t had time to explore, the evening you thought you’d have back by now.
This checklist will help you see where your admin is quietly costing you momentum, and what might be worth putting down.
A note from Anita
Hello, I’m Anita. I spent over thirty years as an executive assistant, supporting executives, founders and creative professionals, before setting up Anita Administry.
The same thing has stayed true throughout: clarity changes everything. When the details are properly looked after, the person behind the business can breathe, think and lead.
There are no right or wrong answers here, and no pressure to do anything with your result. It’s simply a way of seeing where you are today.

How to use this checklist
Tick everything that feels true for you right now. Your scores add up as you go, so you can see what your answers are telling you.
- Where your time is going. Especially the repeated, reactive or behind-the-scenes tasks that pull you away from the work you do best.
- What is taking up too much headspace. Wanting a calmer mind and your evenings back is a perfectly good reason to ask for support. Growth doesn’t have to be the goal.
- What you could start handing over. You don’t need a finished process. A conversation, a voice note or a few rough lines can be enough.
Your total
So, what does your score tell you?
0 to 8 ticks: Things are largely in hand.
If everything genuinely feels manageable, that’s wonderful. You don’t need support simply because someone says you should have it.
For now: keep a note on your phone called “Things I’d be glad never to do again”, and add to it whenever something drains you. It will tell you a great deal over time.
9 to 16 ticks: There’s something worth putting down.
You’re coping well, but there are clearly jobs that don’t need to be yours. You don’t need to hand over everything at once, and you don’t need a big change.
For now: choose one recurring task you would love to stop thinking about, and start there.
17 to 24 ticks: It’s likely time for some support.
You’re carrying a great deal, and much of it doesn’t need to sit with you. That isn’t a failing. It’s simply what happens when capable people take on too much for too long.
For now: you don’t need to write a delegation plan. Have a conversation. Tell someone what’s taking your time and your headspace, and work out together what can be lifted.
Tick a few boxes above to see your result.
Your score is only part of the picture. Budget, timing and the kind of support you want all matter too.
What could you actually hand over?
Tap anything that makes you think, “I would be so relieved if someone else looked after that.”
What would you love help with first?
Write down whatever comes to mind. It can be vague, unfinished or untidy: “my inbox”, “all the little client jobs”, “keeping up with enquiries”, or simply “everything I keep meaning to do”.
A final reminder
You don’t need to sort it all out before you ask for help.
Bring the scribbled notes, the voice messages, the half-formed thoughts and the jobs that only exist in your head. Working out what needs doing, what can be handed over and how it all fits together is part of the support.
What is the one thing you would most like off your plate?
No polished plan needed. Email me at anita@anitaadministry.co.uk with the words MY MOMENTUM in the subject line and tell me what you would choose. I’ll reply with an honest view on whether I can help, and what handing it over might involve.

Whether you choose support now, later or not at all, I hope this has helped you look at your workload a little differently. You don’t have to carry everything simply because you always have. Whatever you decide, I hope your business grows in a way that leaves more room for you in it.
With warm regards,
Anita
